About Waka
Waka is a free guide to getting around Lagos by danfo, korope, BRT, keke, okada, ferry and rail. Routes show the way step by step and the fare to carry, written and kept honest by the people who ride them.
Waka right now: 24 routes, 4 of 7 modes, Last confirmed 10 days ago
How the data stays honest
Nobody at Waka sits in an office guessing fares. Every route says when a rider last took it, and the next rider can confirm it or flag it in one tap.
01 · Add
Where to board, where to drop, the fare for each ride and the tip only a local knows. It shows as New until another rider confirms it.
Our promises
Waka will need to pay its way one day. When it does, it won't be at your expense. These are the lines we don't cross.
Finding a route, reading the fare and browsing every mode costs nothing, and it never will.
No ads in your search results, and nothing that pops up between you and your route. If we ever show a partner, it will be clearly labelled.
Who builds Waka
Waka is built by a team of three friends who got tired of getting lost in Lagos. Every time, the best directions came from a person, not a map: which park, which bus, where to drop, how much to carry.
So we built a place to write those answers down, where the person who took the bus yesterday can tell you the fare today. We added the first routes ourselves. The rest come from riders like you, and riders keep all of them right.

02 · Confirm
Took the route and the fare still holds? One tap. Each rider counts once, however often they confirm, and nobody can confirm a route they added.
03 · Flag
Fare gone up? Bus stop moved? Say what changed. Each rider who flags pulls the route's score down, and the Waka team sees every flag.
No guesswork
We never sell or expose data that points to you: your email, your searches, your trips. Any numbers we share are totals across many riders, never about one person.
We won't license the routes Lagos riders write to Google Maps, Apple Maps or any other big map app.
